The show’s creator and showrunner, Eric Garcia, actually planned out the plot structure assuming that viewers would see Kaleidoscope differently than their friends and family.

Okay, but wouldn’t that be a great way to watch his eight episodes of Kaleidoscope chronologically, you’d have to watch certain episodes ahead of time to get the full picture, right?
The presentation is what stands out the most. Each Netflix account gets the first 7 of the 8 episodes in different sequences, set at different points in the show’s narrative, from 25 years before the heist to 6 months after. If so, here is the recommended order and chronological order: Provides a unique viewing experience.
Technically, there is no “correct” display order in Kaleidoscope. The first 7 episodes will appear randomly. Episodes are not numbered but are color coded. So while the order your Netflix account decides is the “correct” one, that doesn’t mean you can’t fly around against the system.
Regardless of how you feel about the rest of the series, the episode “White”, which depicts the heist, is meant to be the highlight of the series.
