Personal things collected within the barrel, together with bone remains, suggest the person died in the 1980s,
Michelle Oakley, who visited Lake Mead on Monday, said, "It's actually terrifying how low they are."

where the town's tallest structure formerly stood 60 feet underwater.
There have been a handful of aviation crashes throughout this lake's 90-year existence.

Officials of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area advise visitors to leave everything they find alone and take photographs of it.
